Lauren Ryan, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Lauren is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is passionate about helping adults and young adults navigate life transitions and working with survivors of abuse to process their trauma and claim their power and worth. Life transitions are major life events that change your life in defining ways. They may include entering or graduating from college, changing jobs, marriage, divorce, moving to a new place, starting a family, death of a close friend or family member. These can be difficult to face on your own because they rock the foundation of your world. Survivors of abuse may have endured physical, emotional or sexual abuse. Lauren seeks to provide a place for you to process the trauma and work toward healing. Lauren believes everyone possesses the tools to heal themselves and that, with the right support, they can reconnect with these resources and find their way back to their true path of success and wellness. Lauren strives to provide a supportive environment to facilitate this process. She believes in listening to each person’s story and helping them connect with their mind and body in new ways.
Lauren completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Austin College and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She has spent the last four years counseling in community counseling centers. She has worked with men and women of all ages on a variety of issues including life transitions, childhood abuse, grief, and self-exploration. When she’s not counseling, Lauren enjoys spending time with friends, listening to live music, and making jewelry.
