When life feels overwhelming, it can sometimes be even harder to ask for help.Major transitions often bring a wave of stress and unexpected emotion. You might be a parent feeling triggered by your own children, a mid-life adult feeling unsatisfied, or someone struggling with a loss of identity in retirement. In these moments, it is completely normal to feel stuck. I am here to be a safe outlet for you, even if you are not entirely sure what you need yet.

My therapeutic style is warm, steady, and focused. I provide a calm environment where you will feel deeply heard, but our sessions will not just be casual chatting. Instead, we work actively together using proven, evidence-based methods to help calm your nervous system and find real relief.

My background is in family therapy, so I always consider how our communities and relationships shape us. For those working through trauma, I’m trained in EMDR. For those navigating life transitions — parenting, midlife, or retirement — I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness practices, and specialized training in Midlife & Older Adult Mental Health. I also work with ADHD, whether it’s something you’re managing yourself or something you’re learning to navigate with a partner or child.

I am a native Austinite and I love being a part of this city. I have an M.A. in Counseling from St. Edward’s University and a BFA in Film Production from Chapman University. Yes — I love movies and stories, and I sometimes bring them into session through a clinical practice called “Cinematherapy.” When I’m not working, I spend most of my time with my spouse and two children.

If any of this feels familiar, I’d love to hear from you. Please reach out when you’re ready.
