Our lives are continually evolving and changing. We carry with us tools, strategies, behaviors and ways of coping with the variety of challenges, shifts and changes we experience, feel and encounter. This can be overwhelming. Some of the tools, behaviors and ways in which we think about ourselves and interpret our experiences support us and work well for us, some did for a specific time and no longer do, and some of these thoughts/behaviors didn’t support us at all, are unkind, and we find ourselves acting against ourselves – we were not on our own “team” so to speak. The therapeutic process can help us develop insight and awareness of our triggers, motivations and the patterns we may find ourselves in so that we can make informed conscious emotional and behavioral choices that bring about the results we want.

My goal as a therapist is to compassionately and safely support you in, with and through your experiences, past and present, in a meaningful and empowering way, to achieve your goals and live your best life – however that looks and feels to you.

Therapy is a journey of self-discovery. My therapeutic approach includes supporting you in the ongoing process of self-discovery, awareness and personal empowerment.

I grew up in New York City and received my MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work in 2006. I am an LMSW and have over 15 years of experience working with youth, adults and families in a variety of capacities/settings, including long and short term clinical counseling (both inpatient/outpatient), crisis intervention, intensive case management, education and group work. I have lived in Austin since 2007 and appreciate our progressive and diverse creative culture and environment. I love food, music, nature and all animals and have two rescue cats, Rebel and Minx.
