Affordable Austin Counseling Rates / Insurance & EAPs Policy

Plumeria Counseling Center adheres to the principle that counseling should be affordable and available to anyone who desires it. As such, our therapists consist of both licensed professionals and licensed interns. While only our professional therapists are able to take insurance, all of our therapists are willing to accept private-pay clients on a sliding-scale basis. Sliding-scale is determined on a case-by-case basis between each client and their therapist during the initial visit.

Professional Austin Counselors: • $90/50-minute session; or sliding-scale • Private Pay or Insurance Licensed Intern Counselors: • $70/50-minute session, or sliding-scale • Private Pay Only Free Initial Consultations        Initial Consultations are available free-of-charge, by request, with any of our Intern therapists as well as with some of our Professional therapists.This meeting allows you the opportunity to meet your therapist, describe your current situation, and ask any questions you may have. If you both agree to work together, a session will be scheduled and therapy will commence upon your next visit. Please specify when scheduling that you are requesting a 30-minute consultation. Student Clinic $20/session Katy Zurawski Plumeria Counseling Center is proud to announce the opening of its student clinic! Each semester, we carefully select one graduate-level counseling student to work alongside us and gain invaluable "hands on" experience. This individual works closely with the clinical director to discuss their cases and optimize their therapeutic services to clients.

Who Accepts Your Insurance/EAP? Please refer to the below table to quickly determine which of our therapists is covered by your insurance or Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Also keep in mind that, if you want to work with a therapist who does not accept your insurance or EAP, he or she may be willing to meet with you on a sliding-scale basis or for an amount equal to your co-pay.
